Cancel prepaid plan while overseas

Hi, I was an international student in the US but left in March due to the COVID situation. However, since I left in quite a rush, I didn't manage to cancel my phone plan and didn't know then how long I would be out of the country (looking to be at least another year from now). Now, I'm unable to access my AT&T account since I can't receive the SMS verification and I can't contact any staff to fix this. Is there any way to cancel/suspend my prepaid plan for the next year? Thanks.

Account access is blocked from abroad. To cancel prepaid, just stop paying. If you need to stop autopay, your options are to call or cancel the card used for autopay. If you want to keep your account open and keep your number, you need to change to a pay per use plan and refill your account sufficiently to keep it open until you return. A $100 refill is good for a year. You will need to call to refill and change plans. Call the international support number.
