Canada Roaming in Oklahoma?

Hi, why would i be using canada roaming while in the panhadle of oklahoma? Also i am on the unlimited plan and keep getting warnings that i have used a crazy amount of data. After pulling my records I show only using 4 gigs of data for the entire month but att says I have used 36. How can this be?

When I said roaming domestically on a partner that meant in the USA, not Canada. Clearly something is screwy unless you've been in Canada recently, or at least next to the Canadian border which might connect you to a Canadian Tower.

Call AT&T. If calling them doesn't get some common sense or results to resetting your data statistics, file an FCC complaint

Routine FCC complaint is only about a 2 minute form if that. It doesn't really do anything other than get forwarded back to AT&T upper management so that they are aware of an anomaly that should not exist

Why do you think you are using Canada roaming? There are no Canadian carriers in Oklahoma. Perhaps you are connecting to an ATT partner?

Are these crazy amounts of data being reported in kilobytes megabytes or gigabytes? How much are we talking about?

It is entirely possible to be roaming domestically on a partner.

What exactly are the wording of the warnings?    Even if you are on an unlimited data plan, if your data is deprioritized after a certain threshold, you absolutely should be notified that you are close to your deprioritization threshold.

you dont say...lol.

The pic above clearly shows canada roaming. Trying to find out why.

They are Gigabytes. Att says Ive used 36 in the last few weeks.

Im not complaining about the warning. Im asking how on earth they think ive used that much data. I pulled the detailed data and it only shows 4 gig of data use from 8/16 through today.

Hey there! We hear you, and want to help make things better!

For us to understand this issue better, please help us with some additional information:

1) Have you been using a VPN? Depending on that, the location can be mimicked to other locations.

2) Did you download anything recently? If so, please try removing/deleting it. This may be interfering with your service.

3) Did you travel to Canada or near the Canadian borders recently? This will help us narrow down the cause.

Looking forward to hearing from you, and thank you for visiting AT&T Community Forums!
