'Balance too low' when trying to call Canada... full balance

The $30 plan does not include long distance calls to Canada or roaming for free in Canada or Mexico.

You will have to add funds, and  select one of the add-ons for discounted long distance calls in order to call Canada 

That was yesterday, what’s your balance today? What plan are you on? If you are on the $30 plan and it just renewed, that balance got used.

still full. picked up and activated the sim yesterday. 

So again, what plan do you have and is it active? Did you pay for a plan and add an additional $30 to the account or is $30 all you have paid so far? If the latter, that would indicate you haven’t activated a plan yet.
