AT&T Free Message: Your attempt to connect to data service was unsuccessful.
I haven’t been able to use my mobile phone let data since last week. No apps work if I turn off wifi, if I open a website in safari or chrome, I get the “AT&T Free Message: Your attempt to connect to data service was unsuccessful.” message. This have been happening for a week since I switched my data plan from 1G to 8G. I’ve already tried trouble shooting steps on att website, and also call att customer service but none of them were able to solve the issue so far. Tried with my wife’s att SIM card on my phone and the LTE data works. Please help, I’ll be traveling in the next few days and I really need the data during that time.

Do you actively have a Postpaid or Prepaid service with AT&T? What device are you currently using, and has it been updated with the latest software? Have you or others experiencing any cellular interruption in your area?

submitted a ticket to the technical team. I think they must have solved the
issue for me. Thanks for your reply. (I'm using iphone X with AT&T
prepaid. The device is updated and no cellular interruption in my area)
