Will adding an additional name to my postpaid plan work for third party credit providers as verification of identity when they send a OTP?
I got a credit card through chase and they want to send me a OTP code to verify my identity but they say it doesn't allow them to send it to my number. If I'm added to a postpaid plan will it allow the code to be sent since my name will be on the account?

Postpaid cellular accounts are in one person's name. That person is the owner of the account an entirely responsible.
Clearly Chase doesn't care whether you're the account owner or not they don't believe the phone number belongs to you.

Hey there @AnubisTheCollector, we know the urgency of getting your identity verified by Chase.
What our ACE @formerlyknownas mentioned is correct, only the account owner will have their name listed on the account. Just adding yourself to a postpaid plan won't add your name to the account.
As for your other question, you'll need to reach out to Chase directly to confirm what's considered and accepted as verification of identity and how to receive the OTP code.
We hope this helps, thanks for reaching out to the AT&T Community Forums.
