What is the incentive for staying with this ATT&T?
I have been using AT&T since it was once Cingulair. And I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for. So I never mind paying a little more to get better service with you my plans. But now my two year contract is up. Like I have done in the past I want trade my phone up and sign up again. However I was told that now I can just trade my old galaxy s3 up and get a discount on something like a s5. I have to pay out right for it, and still sign another contract. I dont get why I would want to do that? Why would I wanna pay more when I already budget my phone bill for the past 2 years. The plan fine, the cycel of every two year I can upgrade my phone to the newest hottest device for max $200, has always had a charm. Why cant I do that anymore with out be penialized? I figure staying with the company means something. I just feel like just another faceless number.

and not only that but I had a problem with my billing and my phone the other day and it took me going through 3 different "floor managers" to get the issue resolved and an hour and a half out of my day! Yayyyyy!!! nothing like a $230 bill and time out of my life.

What is up with accusing people of lying?
Is that a new customer retention ploy by AT&T?

ummm, I wasnt saying that updating the soiftware took from my data. i said that after the software update my phone began to suck data like crazy... i got it fixed but it is a little strange that the Galaxy 5 started acting up, slowing down, freezing, sucking data etc... right as the 6 is about to be released and that they updated the software right after the offer roll over data and the buigs with the update are geared twoards dropping and connecting wifi at will.
i didnt know there was this many people who had time to kiss ATT butt... #really employees

I am also convinced that AT&T is playing games with their customers, that go beyond your typical optimizing of business processes.
Recently one of our phones was up for replacement, and like I said before the incentives tell me to not buy new from AT&T and instead get a nice used phone.
We got a Nexus 5, and we are going to save a lot of money just doing that. We are not paying the 'penalty' for upgrading our equipment.
On top of that the phone gets updated frequently, and we got rid of Touchwiz at the same time.
The phone is no longer under contract and we can take it to another carrier whenever we desire.
I have been with AT&T for more than a decade, never thought I would say this but I am looking at offers from the other carriers. A few years ago that would not have happened.

fact. Touchwiz is so far from
Android on the s5 its not even funny. The s6 taylored back touchwiz it
still looks like a 2 year old made it but it is what it is. Google made
google now launcher available to any phone for a reason.

I wonder if the AT&T followers are getting a discount for re-posting their
"new terms" to multiple threads.

I have been an AT&T customer for over 10 years...purchased phones and other
devices. NEVER, did a new device change the charge for talk and text.
So if you believe that a new device should increase the cost of text and
talk...you are correct we all have free will. Stay with AT&T

new terms. When you read the fine print and call them on the issue...they
have no answers (or agree with you) then the "employees" on the blog rant
and rave that it isn't true.
If it weren't so sad it would be funny.
