Visual voicemail stopped working

Visual voicemail stopped working. I also had to reset my account password along with my voicemail password after the latest Android update. I completed both of those, but when I try to load visual voicemail it immediately shuts off.

Hello Juanluk, let's get your visual voicemail up and running.

Reset the network settings to refresh your connection to the network.

Settings icon > scroll to and select General management > select Reset > Reset network settings > Reset settings > select Reset to confirm.

Ensure that your 4G LTE cellular data is connected on your device as this is a Visual voicemail requirement. Confirm your Visual voicemail is not disabled by navigating to Settings app>Apps/Application Manager>Select Visual Voicemail. Note: If Visual Voicemail is not present, select Menu or More (in upper right corner), then Show system apps>Visual Voicemail>Enable.

You can troubleshoot the app by clearing the app cache force stopping an app, checking for updates, removing an app, and reinstalling.

Let us know if this information helps, and thank you for reaching out to the AT&T Community Forums.

Hello @,

We'd be more than happy to take a closer look into this issue that you've been experiencing with visual voicemail.

We'll need some more details in order for us to better assist you:

  • How long has this been going on?
  • When you say it stopped working, what is occurring exactly?
  • Are callers still able to leave you voicemail messages?
  • Also, what is the make and model of the cell phone that you're using?

Please let us know.

In the meantime, we recommend using our troubleshoot & resolve tool to fix voicemail issues. Simply select your device and the issue, then follow the steps to find a solution.

We hope this helps and look forward to hearing back from you soon!

It has been going on since the last forced update (about a week and half or so?)

When I try to open it, it immediately closes.

I can only access voicemail by calling my number, but I believe people can leave a message.

I am using the Samsung Note 20 Ultra
