Updating my grandfathered plan?
Hi all, I'm paying $107 per month for an old grandfathered "AT&T Unlimited Choice II Multi Line" plan. We have 4 family members on the plan. We also pay $20 per phone for the "access" fee. And we get a $10 discount for the auto pay. For the last few years we've been paying out of pocket for new phones for my family (and I'm currently on an iphone x) instead of opting into a new plan and getting the upgrade. I think we're making a mistake but when I look at the new unlimited data plan pricing (Unlimited talk, text, & high-speed data that can’t slow down based on how much you use) i'm seeing that it will cost $50 per month per line (when you get 4 lines). I'm assuming that will be on top of the $20 per month access fees. Meaning our bill with end up being about $100 more per month. Am I missing something here? I don't care about the hotspot but I would like the phone upgrades if we can get unlimited data (without any slow down) for the same cost. Thanks for your help!

We understand how important this decision is @jennyfritz, and we'll be happy to clear up any of your questions regarding plan prices.
The access fees that you're being charged for your grandfathered Unlimited Choice II plan are already included in the advertised prices for our current Unlimited plans. For a brief comparison:
We recommend you check out our other two postpaid unlimited plans with the above link as well, for more options.
Let us know if you have any other questions regarding the plan or changes to your bill.

So you're paying $177 a month for your old plan for four lines. You do realize the current plans are much cheaper?
The unlimited starter plan is nearly equivalent, it includes Hotspot data which your plan does not have.
The new plans are simple pricing. That means there's no separate data charge. $35 * 4 lines =140
Ditto for the other tiers.
The unlimited Premium plan is eligible for a signature program discount. Such as AARP which would take another $10 off per line reducing the cost of the same as the extra plan.

Thanks all! I was not sure if I should expect the access fees on top of the advertised prices so the above info really clears things up for me. Hoping there are no other hidden charges. Also, thanks for the AARP tip. :-)
