Suspending Service / Location

Hello,

If I suspend service on my teen’s phone, will I still be able to see his location using either the Apple Find My app or the Life360 app (we use both)?

@Shelly064 If you turn cellular and wifi is off, their phone will not report back their location to you (as it won't have an internet connection).

Maybe. If service is suspended, the only way for the phone to report it’s location is if the phone is connected to WiFi.

Hmmmm, sometimes on Life360, it’ll show his location but under his name in red it says his WiFi setting on his phone is turned off and says I should “remind him” to turn it back in lol

I wonder if as long as he doesn’t turn his phone off, or let the battery die, it will work. Worth a shot I guess!

We'll be happy to clarify this for you @Shelly064.

Both Apple Find My and Life360 may work if the device is on Wi-Fi, though since GPS will be disabled on a suspended line, that may also be a factor.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns; if so, we'll be glad to assist further. Thank you for contacting our AT&T Community.
