Samsung Tab S2 (AT&T Samsung-SM-T817A) and AT&T Samsung S10 Numbersync stuck on registering

Trying to activate Numbersync on Samsung Tab S2 (AT&T version Samsung-SM-T817A but sim is not active) with  AT&T Samsung Galaxy S10. Both are on same Wifi network (home network) and the device gets stuck on the "Please wait for registration to complete."

 

Read a forum post to change password on AT&T userid but that didn't seem to work.  Not sure what to do to get it to work.

You have to have service active on the tablet for numbersync to work.

Thank you for your response.

 

I stuck in a AT&T SIM (on same account) which has voice and data and same issue.

 

It goes through the location and whether I want my address to be primary e911 address (same questions I get when no sim is in there), but then it just gets stuck at "Please wait for registration to complete."

 

I went as far as resetting my tablet to factory setting and got same results.

Phone sim is provisioned differently.  You cannot number sync 2 phones.  You would have to get active sim and service on the tablet.
