Please Consider: Lifetime contract with Free ATT NEXT upgrades
Hi.
I know this is a long shot but i was thinking for people like me that love the online support and how much you can edit stuff on my account. i was thinking of a great promotion: customers can sign a lifetime contact with ATT and be a lifetime customer. And as gift we get free NEXT upgrades without installments. we just pay our services bill for life. hey its worth a shot huh? 🙂

Yeah this is a nice dream but it will never happen. The cost of phones is only going up, not down. So all the carriers are trying to break away from subsidizing devices and taking a loss on them. If Next didn't exist (because it's essentially a zero interest finance option) we'd all be paying $649 for a new iPhone or $699 for that Galaxy S7, all upfront.
Lifetime contract, meh can't really be enforced. What determines lifetime?

Not gonna happen.
What happens if you move and ATT coverage is non existent in your new area? Does ATT get to sue you for breach of contract for dumping them? Or do you have to pay for service you can't use, or a huge early termination fee?

The cost of phones are actually going down. The s7 is cheaper than the s6. And Samsung is going to start selling a US based unlocked s7.

Maybe Apple will catch on. Yooo hooo! Tim Cook? Are you paying attention?
I expected Samsung to follow Apple into their own "new phone every year " finance program.
I guess not all rumors are true.
