Location Data

Hi there, if I wanted precise geolocation/tower data from 2014-, do I need a court order or subpoena?

Does AT&T even keep records that long?

Very unlikely they have data that far back. Any such data would also likely be anonymous. In other words, they wouldn’t be able to tell you the location of a specific device, only the number of devices connected to a tower at any one time.

Thanks! I've seen things online where people are able to get latitude and longitude of calls/texts placed according to cell tower data. I'm wondering how to get that and if that requires a special court order.
