Lies and crafted deception.

I called At&t to become a new customer. I was told my brand new $1200 tablet with the best plan, would have unlimited calling text and not slowed Internet. On top of this it would have 50 gigs of mobile hotspot. I agreed and they sent it out. I couldn't see my new plans details because At&t will not let you log in until the new device has arrived and is activated. So you only have what someone tells you on the phone. It arrives! Pre-loaded with a text message and phone app. I log into my account, Oh wait, only 15 gigs of hotspot. I try to call out... Nope can't do that on a tablet apparently, messages? Nope. Just lies and computers to redirect you in circles for hours while they bill away.

A tablet is not a phone. Under no circumstances does a tablet have  talk and text because it is a data only device.

I don't know how you identified your $1,200 tablet to at&t, but whoever you spoke to likely did not understand that this device was a data only device and not a phone.

Since you do not understand that this is a data only device and is not capable of talk and text,  maybe you shouldn't be so quick to pass judgment on someone who doesn't even have the device in their hands?

The unlimited premium plan does indeed have unlimited talk text and data on a phone and 50 GB of hotspot available on a phone. It sounds like you were put on the extra plan or a stand alone tablet plan.

Also I was lied to about the plan BEFORE the device was even paid for to be shipped. So obviously they knew what device I was getting and the true availability of plans. The device was not "in my hands". I didn't speak with one representative about this problem, I spoke to at least a dozen. So lets hear about how it is my fault some more?

*Update* Yes, I just verified that many people*DO* have a calling plan for this same tablet. Except At&t who only lie about having this option.

Tablets don’t have the electronics to be used as a phone

That takes one simple google search to prove wrong. So why are you pushing obvious lies for At&t?

Despite these inaccurate comments regarding basic programming, actual hardware, and the service provider's installed software, the real issue remains - At&t lies to make sales, designed a ordering system that has no accountability and will not allow the new customer to even log in before the order arrives.

Yes of course! I expressed my frustration in the forum of the company that I tried to contact many times for resolution. It is totally normal that a "non-At&t" employee would want to "shut it down".
