I've been charged a deductable for a repair that the repair person refused to carry out.
My phone is broken. I need to retain physical posession of the phone as it has irreplacable data on it.
I visited what I thought was an AT&T store, where they filed my insurance claim, and scheduled a mobile repair person to fix it the next morning.
When the repair person showed up, they forced me to sign their documentation before they would even look at the phone, and after looking at it for less than 5 seconds, pretended to cut themself on the damaged screen and said "i cant fix this" and tried to offer me a replacement, which i refused, since i had stated EXPLICITLY AND REPEATEDLY to the person at the not-an-AT&T store that i needed to retain possession of the phone and didn't want someone's water-damaged cast-off.
Since my phone is broken, I am MANY miles from a corporate AT&T store, and the AT&T support website's chat function is completely nonfunctional, I don't know how to contact AT&T to request an explaination of their refusal to honor the insurance I've been paying for for years.
