Is there an app to transcribe a voicemail to text?
I was wondering if there is a way to transcribe a voicemail to text? Also, is there support for visual voicemail? On my current carrier (Verizon) there is a voicemail app that lists the voicemails I have received along with a transcription of each text. Before I used Verizion I had any missed calls forwarded to Google Voice that would than email me a transcription of any voicemail messages.
If it is of any relevance, the phone I use is an S21.

Thank you for reaching out to us @quinodos.
We do provide support for Visual Voicemail, and since you have an S21, you should be good to go. You would simply need to install the AT&T Visual Voicemail app if your Android device doesn't already have Visual Voicemail built in or the app pre-installed.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions; if so, we'll be delighted to assist.

@lizdance40 Thanks, I will look into YouMail if the one @ATTHelp mentioned has any issues.
Thanks @ATTHelp Darais for the heads-up. I will look into the app you mentioned.

At&t VVM doesn't provide transcripts. It's an iPhone and pixel feature

Got it, thanks for the heads up.

By the way what did you mean about YouMail not working consistently on Samsung devices?
Do you mean that sometimes it takes a while for the voicemail messages to appear in the YouMail app?

ATT support always weighs in that they support transcription, but they do not. It is phone-dependent, they have nothing to do with it and if you call support, you will waste hours and hours. Android devices can use third-party apps for transcriptions.

Dude, people still read old threads because ATT support is so horrible and they are looking for information! FYI, I settled on using Google Voice. If you are on Android, you are probably tied to the Google world anyway. All you do is claim a number and forward unanswered calls to it. You get alerts and transcriptions really quickly, it works seamlessly and offers many benefits over ATTs so called visual voicemail.

,yes but hijacking several threads some even 5 years old will get you nowhere and is considered breaking the terms of service agreement when you signed up for the forums as you might have noticed most of your posts have been closed
