iPad with cellular. Login problems

I have an AT&T account for my iPad which has a cellular connection. I am having a problem logging into my account. Get an error message "AT&T is not able to process your request (SOH00040)

I have tried more than 6 times over the last 24 hours. Always this message.

Help!

Sorry. I probably don't have the correct categories, etc below. Not sure where this one fits.

We can definitely point you in the right direction, @derekg02420.

After six unsuccessful login attempts within 48 hours, an hour time lock is enforced.

Twelve unsuccessful login attempts within 48 hours prompts a soft lock which requires a password reset

Eighteen unsuccessful login attempts within 48 hours prompts a hard lock which requires you to contact customer service using 800.901.9878.

We've provided links to help you access att.com/iPadlanding. We hope this information helps. Please let us know when you're in. Thank you!

That is all very interesting but it does not address why AT&T is not responding to my  valid login attempt. Everywhere else I go on the web only requires one try. What does this AT&T error code mean?

Sorry to hear that. The only remedy is to call ATT and deal with their automated attendant and eventually reach a person. In my case I had to track down the group able to close the ATT cellular account on my iPad. Requires patience but in the end was successful for me.
