if you file a claim does asurion have the right to go through your phone?
also can they go through your phones text message history, call history?
and if so, why would they?
a friend of mine filed a claim through them but asked this question and i didnt know the answer.

Anytime you are giving your phone to another person you should to a factory reset. Even if Assurion does not have the policy of going through your personal informaiton, your device could be handled by any number of different people throughout the shipping process, and it's always better safe than sorry. That way, you can be assured of your safety if the device is lost in transit, etc.
