I received an emailed receipt for an iPhone purchase that I didn't make

My wife received an email of a receipt of an iPhone purchase in another state.  It was purchased under my name I can search the order number and I have the phone number attached to the account.

I am trying to ascertain if it is a phishing attempt or a fraudulent purchase in my name.  I have checked my financial records and I don't have a listing for the purchase anywhere.

How can I resolve this issue?

It could be a phishing attempt, or it could be someone has hacked your account and ordered a new phone.

Either way please call AT&T as soon as they open at 7:00 a.m.

It's not clear whether the phone line is one you already own or a new line. If it's a phone line you own, the phone would be activated on that phone number, disconnecting the existing phone in your home. Huge problem. Please call 611 as soon as they open and let them know that you did not order a new phone. And have them recall the phone from the shipper, do not deliver.

Ask to be connected to the fraud department. They should be able to help you secure your account. Please make sure that you're related email account is also secured

If there are any links to click on in that email, DO NOT.  It could be phishing scam to get your info.
