HBO GO No longer available???

I've spent about a week of various avenues of attempting to revalidate my HBO GO app on my smart TV. No matter what, I cannot get it to work any longer. Obviously, AT&T support is slightly less useful than asking my pet iguana what the problem is, so I figured maybe the internet think tanks could help. Now matter what I cannot get validated. I am on a completely unlimited AT&T plan, which has been retired, but all information available to me suggests that that matters not in the least and that all should be well.

What is going on with this? This has always been an absolute thorn in my side while validating, but now it appears to not work at all.

Hello,

Did you make a recent plan change. An older unlimited plan included HBO, currently there are three plans, only the “Elite” one includes HBO. The two below that plan (“Extra” or “Starter”) removed that add-on. You can also try the regular HBO app if HBO Go is giving you issues. I believe the “AT&T Watch TV” app is how you validate these promotional logins though, not directly in HBO app.

@mobilemax No changes whatsoever. My other TV has HBO GO app and it still works fine. Who do I contact about this? It's the most ridiculously flaky login system I've ever seen. AT&T says call HBO, HBO says call AT&T, and sooner or later some (Edited per community guidelines) will transfer me to direct TV who can't help.

WHO IN THE (Edited per community guidelines) SERVICES THIS???????

It would be Att since it was in the plan, I believe access is through the Att Watch TV app on older plans. Might have cut off HBO Go direct login? Not 100% what would cause that other than HBO Max is coming out april-may 2020 and some change in preparation for that launch maybe.

@mobilemax

Can you not read?

He said HBO go was working on another tv. That means the TV is at fault not the account or wireless plan. HBO max is going to be a over priced joke at this point. If Pea(Edited per community guidelines) comes in at 4.99 like they say it may then well HBO max is really over priced.

With that attitude I don't know how you solve anyone's concerns.

Unfortunately, losing access to HBO for those on grandfathered unlimited plans seems to be a common problem but I’ve never seen a common solution. What login credentials do you use to access HBO Go? If you use a DirectvNow account, that is now called ATT TV Now.

If you are not an at&t TV now subscriber, the recommendation is to validate through Watch TV

1. Log into your wireless account at www.att.com/myatt with your AT&T User ID and password or create an AT&T User ID by entering a valid email address and password.

2. Accept the Terms and Privacy Policy for WatchTV.

3. Once you're done signing up, download HBO GO from your app store, log in with your AT&T User ID and start streaming.

For customers who have residential DIRECTV, U-Verse TV or AT&T TV NOW (excluding AT&T TV), HBO will also be added on that TV platform. May be billed and then credited on that TV platform within 2 bills.

It would be a good idea for at&t to RESOLVE this!
