Family Member Access JUST to HBO Max
Sorry ... know this question has been asked a thousand times, but no amount of community search or googling has led to a clear and non-wiggly answer. I have several teenage family members. I want to give them access to HBO, but not to the main account where they could see billing or activity history for other family members. Is this possible? Or can I only give them the main account user ID and password?

Hey there @FrankElley, we'd be glad to give you a definite answer on how to add users to your HBO Max account.
These would be considered HBO Max profiles, and they help you keep track of what you've watched and what you'd like to watch. There are two types of profiles: Adult and Kid. You can add profiles for everyone in your household and your account can have a total of 5 profiles.
To create new HBO Max profiles:
First Kid profile? You'll be asked to create a PIN. The PIN keeps your child from changing the parental controls that you set.
When a Kid profile is active, you'll see the Kids Home screen. Be advised, Kid profiles don't have access to any billing information. To learn more, see All about Kid profiles.
We hope this information helped answer your question and feel free to reach back out if you have any other inquiries.
Thanks for engaging with the AT&T Community Forums.

Thanks Lynn. That's the standard answer that's easy to find, but unfortunately doesn't answer the key question. Regardless of the profile someone is using once they are in HBOMax, it appears the only way to get them into HBOMax in the first place is to give them the single, administrator username and password for the ATT account. So that would enable them to see, say, the phone call history of other family members. Or order new devices. That's an obvious and serious security flaw. Ideally, in ATT we'd be able to assign individual family members a profile "for HBO only" for example. Problem solved. Is it possible? If it's not, please just say so.

@FrankElley Simple solution, you enter the account credentials into the HBO Max app and don’t let them see the password. Since the HBO Max app is separate, they still won’t be able to access the wireless account.

Thanks @sandblaster. Seems like my ultimate goal is out of reach. But that's a good solution for the ones whose phones I can get hands on. (Not so much for the one off to college.) Some level of trust is going to be required no matter what, of course. I'm also experimenting with sharing login info for HBO (and some other stuff) via a LastPass family plan, which occurred to me after posting this. Thanks again.

Thank you for the response, @FrankElley.
Thank you @sandblaster for the suggestion.
We are happy to submit feedback on your behalf regarding your HBO Max log in concerns. We understand how important it is to give your family access without them having access to your myAT&T account. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
