Dropped calls when I have to enter additional selections on keypad

When I make a call and you get a recording asking to make a selection, my call is dropped.  choose 1 for this, choose 2 for that, when I choose my number nothing happens and then the call is dropped.  This has happened to 3 different phone numbers so it's either my phone or ATT.  Anybody know what I can do?

Hello, @staceyale! We understand how frustrating it can be for the call to drop when making a number selection!

We recommend you power cycle your device, it is usually the most effect troubleshooting step to resolve connectivity issue on the device. It refreshes the connection to the network, and downloads the latest network that could have taken place.

If the power cycle does not allow you to be able to place the call and number selection, then we

advise you to reset the network settings:

  • For Apple Devices-From the home screen, select the Settings app > Select General > scroll to and select Transfer or Reset iPhone > select Reset > Reset Network Settings > select Reset Network Settings again to confirm.
  • For Android Devices- Swipe down from the Notification bar, then select the Settings icon > scroll to and select General Management > select Reset > Reset Network Settings > Reset Settings > select Reset to confirm.

Resetting the network setting will delete all stored internet and networking-related data pn your device, such as Wi-Fi names and passwords, network login information, and information on any paired hardware like headphones or speakers.

We hope this information was helpful, and please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you for reeaching out to the AT&T Community Forums!
