discount for nurses

Hello- I have called several times to discuss a discount for nurses for my internet plan. I have been told each time..yes..yes  you qualify...you just need to upload your proof. I have attempted NUMEROUS times. It looks like it goes thru but apparently it is NOT. I have received an email that says they have removed any discount (which I never received) because they cannot verify I am a nurse. Please tell me what I need to do. I was told when i called customer service that I could not present my proof in store or any other way (fax, email, etc.) and was told twice that it can only be sent thru the email they send to upload. The website says in store or online. Can I please discuss this with someone before I switch my service back to verizon?  Thank you for your time and consideration.

@kmcourie

An answer has been marked, but that doesn't necessarily answer your questions on why you were told something qualifies when it appears it does not.

More information from you would be helpful. It would at least determine whether or not you're being told something incorrect, or whether you just haven't followed all the directions required to get a discount that you are eligible for

I suspect as a nurse, with a dedicated hotspot device, you're supposed to be on FirstNet.

Agree with @formerlyknownas There are a few issues that the OP has:

1.  Are they on the correct wireless plan to receive the wireless discount (and free hotspot)

2.  Are the looking for FirstNet vs. First Responder Discount

3.  Issues with the verification of eligibility

@skeeterintexas

And AT&T representatives have given out incorrect information in the past

They should know better.

But on the other hand sometimes customers hear what they want to hear and they don't understand when they're told.

And my most favorite thing is when customers hold back what they were actually told, verbatim, which makes a huge difference.

Do you get the feeling that we’re doing all the heavy lifting on these posts and then to add insult to injury, the OP does not respond in kind?  🤷‍♀️

Hi, I was told I would receive an email to submit the documents for verifying the Nurse and Physician discount. I opened the account and qualified for the discount on Dec 28 (about 12 days ago)

How long does it normally take to receive this email for document submission ?

And I tried the links in the two messages above and both of them fail to go anywhere meaningful.

Appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks

I have had the same problem! I signed up at Costco 2/3/2023 and have not been able to fully sign up and/or get reimbursed for back pay. Weeks ago I resubmitted everything and received notice that it was accepted and pending. Today I received an email that since they didn’t receive anything I’ve been dropped. Might be time to take further action. I’ve been on the phone several times with a rep and nobody can help me. They all say the process has to be done online.
