discount for nurses

Hello- I have called several times to discuss a discount for nurses for my internet plan. I have been told each time..yes..yes  you qualify...you just need to upload your proof. I have attempted NUMEROUS times. It looks like it goes thru but apparently it is NOT. I have received an email that says they have removed any discount (which I never received) because they cannot verify I am a nurse. Please tell me what I need to do. I was told when i called customer service that I could not present my proof in store or any other way (fax, email, etc.) and was told twice that it can only be sent thru the email they send to upload. The website says in store or online. Can I please discuss this with someone before I switch my service back to verizon?  Thank you for your time and consideration.

@kmcourie

The 25% discount for wireless customers includes the consumer plans: unlimited your way plan, Elite, premium, extra, starter.    There is no dedicated hotspot eligible on those plans.  In fact it is disallowed on those consumer plans.

The only way to add a dedicated hotspot device would be for you to be on either a business plan which is different, or FirstNet which has discounts built into the cost of the plan,  also different.

The only other plans available for a hotspot on a consumer plan would be data connect plans which were discontinued or prepaid plans which do not allow any discount at all

So please check your account and see what plan you are on. If you are on a plan that allows a dedicated hotspot on a consumer plan it would likely be the 2017 unlimited plus plan which is not eligible for the 25% discount and if you change plans you lose your hotspot because it's not allowed on the current plans which do allow the 25% discount

Hi @kmourie, we understand how important it is to stay connected.

Allow us to provide more details about the AT&T Nurses, Physicians, & Their Families discount offer!

Please know that discount is offered to eligible licensed/certified nurses, physicians, and physician assistants including their families who have or just activated an AT&T Unlimited Starter, AT&T Unlimited Extra, or AT&T Unlimited Elite wireless plan.

It is important to present:

  • Your employee ID
  • Paystub dated within the last 30 days
  • Employment letter from within the last 30 days or State License/Certification

If you have not received the discount after changing medical facilities, you may need to re-submit your request when accessing the AT&T Qualification Portal.

We hope this information helps. Thank you,

Hello

I didn't change facilities. I am saying I am not able to upload my RN license on your website with the link emailed to me and was told that was the only way to provide proof. Do you have a fax or email address I can send it to? Thank you for your time.

@kmcourie   You posted in the INTERNET Forum and there is no nurses discount for INTERNET.  As stated, the nurses discount is for WIRELESS.

It is a HOTSPOT and it says in the print that it qualifies. I was also told several times on line it qualified.

Do you have one of the wireless plans that @ATTHelp listed?

PERSONAL HOTSPOT: Requires compatible device. Includes up to 3GB per line per month. After 3GB,  hotspot speed slowed to max of 128Kbps for the rest of bill cycle. After this, hotspot usage will be impacted and not fully functional.
