Call protect PAID subscription: your service is awful

You only identify FALSE positive spam calls. Why are legitimate contacts i have SAVED on my phone being auto-blocked, while obvious spam goes through? I literally can’t get calls from my best friend because you keep labeling him a threat. Please understand that spoofed numbers are usually legit numbers owned by legitimate laypeople, who end up blocked because you are incapable of telling when a call is obviously spam. My number starts with (617) 780-xxxx. I get multiple spoofed spam callS with these 6 digits EVERY DAY and you mark none as spam. So what am i paying for. I contact you to get my best friend’s number marked as not a phone threat,  and your response is to block his number, which then i have to constantly unblock. Whatever algorithm you are using does not work. I understand it’s challenging, but you guys actually do nothing when i add a note, as you request, regarding all spam calls, but it’s as though you just ignore them. So then please explain what im paying for.

Hello, @giugiubee12,

Thank you for your post. We understand how annoying spam calls can be. The blocking features on AT&T Call Protect is one of the free features that comes with the basic version of the app. The paid features include and enhanced caller ID, reverse number lookup, and custom call controls.

If numbers of your friends are being blocked, this means that their numbers have been reported as spam by app users. As telemarketers and spam callers spoof other numbers, this isn't surprising. You can report these numbers as Not Spam within the app. Click on the number from the Call Log and make that report.

Have a great week!

No
I keep doing as you say, i select “not spam.” I give the reason (this is my best friend’s number) but call protect continued to mark it as flagged , so your instructions do not work. Maybe that number has been reported by others as spam, but i have not. Your solution is not a solution and is making my life miserable. At some point, everyone’s number is going to be spoofed given the rapidity and sheer volume of spoofing. What will you do then? I still don’t understand what im getting for paying extra for the add on service? I can’t even accomplish the task you’ve told me to do, as ive already done it at least 10 times.
