Call protect incorrectly flagging callers

Call protect has flagged my mom’s number as a threat and she’s not.  There is no option to unflag her.  How do I unflag her?

Hello @PetiteMeow!

Try unblocking that number by following these instructions:

  1. Select the Blocked icon at the top (red circle with slash through it).
  2. Find and tap on the call that was blocked. You’ll receive a Call Details screen.
  3. Select Unblock.

We hope this info helps.

It was never blocked they would mark them as high risk spam when it wasn’t I shouldn’t have to block then unblock to remove the person (my mom) from spam risk.  I don’t think you read my question.

An Apple support number is being incorrectly flagged on my Call Protect app.  This is a problem because when you open a problem report with Apple they call you back from the telephone number that is the flagged number.   I have called AT&T multiple times and opened 2 support tickets with AT&T and continue to be told that this number cannot (will not?) be removed from the Flagged list. I have no way to "unflag" this number from the app on my phone.  This seems to be a simple problem to correct but AT&T is not serving their customers. Clearly I am not the only one seeing numbers being flagged incorrectly.  What is AT&T going to do to correct this problem?

Solution: Open Call Protect app and click on the number you want to fix. Click "Report" and then report as "Not Spam". Then in Call Protect app delete all call history. Download Hiya App and set it up. Make sure to click "allow contacts". Then have the person call you and see if it worked by checking in the Call Protect app call history. This solution worked for me...... I have been working on this for a year straight now. I can finally go back to a normal life.
