BOGO phone
Does anyone have the name of a high level ATT customer service executive?
I have had ATT for over 50 years. Purchase all services from them - 2 cell phones, uverse tv, internet, land line.
In January 2018 I purchased an Iphone X and my husband got a buy one get one free (BOGO) Iphone 8. We were to be charged for 2 months for the BOGO and then that amount was to be credited back and no further charges for that phone.
Since January 2018 we have been charged for the BOGO phone.
I have called ATT on numerous days, spent hours on the phone trying to get this resolved, to no avail. Today, July 2019, after 55 minutes on hold, the ATT rep said we were not eligible for the BOGO, regardless that the ATT store rep had told us we were.
The ATT store rep emphasized at the store when we ought the phones that we would not be charged for the BOGO after the first 2 months. My notes form that purchase support that..
So after 50 years, and purchasing all the services available from ATT, they are finally going to lose me as a customer. And I will communicate my terrible experience to anyone who will listen.
This is the height of stupidity in my opinion in this competitive world of communication. Losing a valuable customer over $400.

Just an FYI, and probably exactly what you’re going to hear from Att cares: Buy one get one phone deals require a new service of some kind. Generally it is required that you add a New line For the free or discounted phone. Since you did not indicate that is what happened; that one of you canceled your old phone number and got a new phone number, I’m assuming you did not qualify for the promotion because you did not meet its requirements.
You can read a sample BOGO deal here. https://www.att.com/ecms/dam/att/consumer/help/landingpage/offers/Wireless-BOGO-Offer-Jan-April-2019.pdf
