At&t secure family app location

How accurate is the location of a family member? Like when it says 43 yards away from home...does that mean they could be at home or they are actually 43 yards away? Also the location on the map...does the bkue circle mean they are somewhere in the vicinity or what? Just wondering exactly how accurate it is.

Hello @perezaramis.

We'd be happy to help with your secure family app concerns.

The best information when it comes to secure family's location accuracy is:

  • Network and GPS based location on a street or satellite map (postpaid only)
  • GPS-based location on a street or satellite map (AT&T PREPAID and other wireless carriers)
  • Arrival and departure alerts
  • Location schedule alerts
  • Location history (7 days)
  • On demand location sharing

The blue circle would be the location that the family member is in. The app should then give a more accurate location based off of the parameters listed above.

Let us know if this helps.
