Totally agree! Smart Limits was great! I had the option of blocking questionable number sources, and to see current, up-to-date phone activity! With Secure Family we’re paying more and the only thing I’m able you do is to check location

Turn on (free!) Location Sharing in Google Maps. It works great to see exactly where my son is, and for him to see where his parents are.

you dont, even if they leave it installed your kids can simply pull the notifications tab down and disable the VPN the app puts of the phone. this new system is HORRIBLE!!!
why this is marked solved I have no clue...

I think the main thing missed is the ability to actually control what and when our children are using the phone for DATA. with the VPN this garbage app creates, kids can simply turn the VPN off and there goes the parental control.

THIS IS NOT SOLVED. Secure Family is worthless to anyone with kids old enough to uninstall the app or disable the VPN (which is pretty much any kid old enough to use a smartphone). Please bring back Smart Limits or allow us to set data limits without installing anything on kids' phones!
