The simple answer is yes.

The more complicated answer is that's not how next up works.

Next is the financing program which allows you to finance a phone over 36 months.

Next up is an early upgrade program for which you pay a fee every month when you buy a new phone so that you have the ability to upgrade at 18 months or 50%.

It does not limit what phone you can purchase. You can finance whatever phone you want and you can use next up early upgrade to buy any phone you want.

The phone you select is not relevant to either the financing or the early upgrade program

Hey @Tyler_Nicholson,

Certainly! With AT&T Next Up, you have the flexibility to upgrade your phone early. Here’s how it works:

Eligibility:

  • To be eligible for AT&T Next Up, you need to have an active installment plan with AT&T.
  • Your account must be in good standing, meaning no outstanding fees or late payments.

    How AT&T Next Up Works:
  • For a $6 per month fee, you gain the option to upgrade your phone early.
  • Once you’ve paid off 50% of your current device cost, you can turn in your device and upgrade to a new one.
  • Simply go online, sign in to your account, and select the device with Next Up that you’d like to upgrade.
  • After activating your new device, you’ll have 14 days to turn in your old device in good working condition.

I hope this information helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
