ATT Mobile Insurance and Next Plan

Hi I was wondering if I have a phone I am still making payments on under the NEXT plan, if something were to happen to the phone.. if I have mobile insurance will I be able to file a claim I understand I would have to pay a deductible. Also will I have to restart my payments?

No, your payments stay as they are. You are not buying a new phone, you are paying the insurance deductible to replace your phone but are still responsible for the NEXT payments.

Thank you for responding, but what does the insurance cover? Does it cover damaged phone or lost phone? I no longer have the phone because it was damaged beyond repair (It was ran over after I was knocked over and the phone fell out of my hands)

Assurion will replace your phone, most likely with a refurb, for the cost of the deductable. You will still have to make the NEXT payments until it is paid in full.

Would I need to send in the old device?

I think so, as they are the one's to make the determination that it can't be fixed and needs to be replaced. Obviously, lost or stolen phones can't be sent in.

Thank you, but I'm sure the phone cannot be repaired. I will send it in anyway. I was walking and a kid on a skateboard knocked me over the phone fell out of my hands and a passing car ran it over talk about bad luck.
