AT&T is stealing returned phones - Blaming Consumer - Help me stop them!

LOOK AT MY PICTURES BELOW: 

(Edited per community guidelines) (Edited per community guidelines)! Please. I am going through this right now and they are trying to charge us over $2000. No help from anyone. We have our receipts and everything from sending the phones back and it has been over a month (almost two). This is predatory. I did a google search and found so many of these posts. It (Edited per community guidelines) because you reset the phone so you cannot even see if the IMIE numbers are being reused already - but I am telling you this is on purpose.

We had a sales rep come into our home when they installed our internet. Told us our bill would be around $145 a month, got the phones and it was over $300 per month. Then we take it to the store to return the phones and find out using their reps they send out means you can only get help from calling customer service. We do that and get our labels and ship them back on September 12th.

On September 13th it says it was picked up by the shipping agent. Called AT&T and they tell me it is our fault, they cannot issue us a credit or close our account until they "receive" the phones. I told them how can we know if you do not have them, you supply the shipping label you must have another way to track it. The lady told me to call the United States Postal Service if I had a problem.

I told her that was impossible. AT&T created the label and I did everything I was supposed to, is it not their job to track it and receive. They told me to wait a few more weeks and when I called back - same thing. I called our sales rep and nothing! She told me she cannot help me. The AT&T store told me these home reps lie all the time and they see this all the time too. This should be illegal.

We are besides ourselves. This is ridiculous and the customer service is the worst. Seriously if anyone else is going through this, we can change it! This will ruin my credit and we did everything right.

Have you contacted the BBB and/or the FTC?  Either of those should result in an interaction with the OOP.

Another option would be to request a DM from @ATTHelp
