Amazon Alexa, and numbersync

I switched carriers for this one single feature (which doesn't work)  I have gone thru all the step of the account link within the Alexa app, it gets to the last screen where you should be able to enter in your emergency address for 911 calling.  The screen is blank, then times out and I get a message saying the AT&T link has failed.  I've uninstalled and downloaded app.  I've tried to set up using 3 different devices and two different wifi networks.  I get the same result every time.  AT&T support (2 reps) had no idea what the feature was and was trying to set my bluetooth.  I need help, please.

First we want to know:
  • What smartphone are you using with the Amazon device? It should be compatible with LTE and support Wi-Fi calling.
  • Do you have any of these devices Echo, Dot, Tap, Spot, or Show?
  • Is the Alexa device already set up and connected to the internet before you tried the numbersync
  • What specific error message is coming up when you attempted the set up.
  • Were you following the steps as detailed in the Alexa numbersync set-up instructions?
