ActiveArmor Blocking Call That Previously Would Go Through

I have a contact saved on my iPhone that I also have set as a favorite. About a week ago, calls from this contact/number started being blocked. When the person calls, it doesn't even ring on my phone. I just get a notification from the app stating the call was blocked as "Threat: Severe".

I have tried unblocking this contact/number on the app but can't seem to find a way to do so. I also confirmed that it's not blocked on my iPhone under Settings>Phone>Blocked Contacts.

I need to be able to get calls from this contact. Is there some other way I can go about unblocking this number?

  • Auto Fraud Call Blocking: Detects and blocks calls from likely fraudsters before they reach you.
  • Spam Risk Call Blocking: Blocks or sends calls to voicemail if identified as Spam Risk.
  • Nuisance Call Alerts: Labels potential nuisance calls from telemarketers, surveys, and more.
  • Nuisance Call Controls: Choose call categories to accept, block, or send to voicemail.
  • Unknown Calls to Voicemail: Automatically sends callers to voicemail if they are not in your address book and blocks other numbers in your personal block list.
  • Personal Block List: Add individual unwanted callers to your own block list.
  • Device Security: Helps protect your data from mobile threats.
    • iOS: Passcode Check and System Updates

If you still have Call Protect active, check to see if this contact is listed under the Blocked icon.

To help unblock a number on the call protect app:

  1. Tap the Blocked Icon at the top (Red circle with the slash through it)
  2. Find and tap on the call that was blocked. You'll get a Call details screen.
  3. Select Unblock.

If this does not apply to you, you can deactivate AT&T ActiveArmor and uninstall the app to start receiving calls from your blocked contact again. 

  1. Go to Settings in ActiveArmor mobile security.
  2. Tap Account and choose Remove Service.
  3. Choose one of the following:
    • On your iPhone - confirm that you want to remove AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security.
    • On an Android phone - select AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security.
  4. Tap Remove to finish up.

Uninstall the app:

  1. Use myAT&T or your app store to downgrade from ActiveArmor advanced and remove the subscription from your account.
  2. Deactivate ActiveArmor and remove the service.
  3. Uninstall the app from your device.
