Active armor not compatible with device and Call Protect not opening up past upgrade notifications to unregister number
I have a device used for basic phone phone functions (calls for work but it's not work issued, text, and emails). Now that Call Protect is defunked and forces a upgrade to Active armor, I cannot install it due it it not being compatible on my device. Now I miss all calls that aren't in contact list, including important work calls.
How do I get Call Protect to unregister my number so calls will come through? Uninstalling it and rebooting device did not work. My guess is because my number is still registered in the Call Protect service databases.

We understand how frustrating it can be to not receive important work calls BigXR, we are here to check on your options!
As of April 21, 2022, AT&T Call Protect features moved to the AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security app. To access your Call Protect features you'll have to download the ActiveArmor mobile security app on a compatible device.
Since you currently do not have a compatible device, we recommend checking your Call protect settings to remove service then uninstall the app. Keep in mind that if you have one of our AT&T Unlimited Plans, the AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security features will be provisioned in your account.
To remove service, you'll have to download the app on a compatible device, deactivate ActiveArmor and remove service.
We hope this helps, we are here if you have additional questions! Thank you for reaching out to the AT&T Community Forums!

Thanks for the response. However, due to the Call Protect "must upgrade to ActiveArmor" notification. I am unable to use/get into Call Protect settings to remove the service.
The option to install on a compatible device will all me to remove the service from a different number? Or am I needing to put my SIM in said compatible device, install, and then remove service from the number?
Doing something exactly like that had your system then treat my world device as an at&t branded device and when your OTA updates were pushed, my device got semi bricked (would randomly reboot). I called support and several weeks later made my way up to an at&t engineer who confirmed your system then treated my world device IMEI number as an at&t different branded device from before. They went in and fixed it so, trying to avoid that headache. Is there a portal (att.com) for this Call Protect/ActiveArmor that is linked to my att phone service I can toggle off from there?
