Why is the red light flashing on my 3G MicroCell?

hello -

i have had a 3G MicroCell for several months, has always worked just fine.  then, today, i had a problem with the internet connection here.  once that problem was fixed and the internet connection was back up and running, the MicroCell 3G button flashes red after startup, doesn't connect.  i've reset everything, still have red light flashing.

anybody know how i might fix this?

The red flashing 3G light can either mean a hardware failure or the MicroCell didn't restart properly after an update or power outage and it "thinks" it's broken.

Do you know why you lost your internet and what was done to correct it? ISP update, failed switch, power outage?

I would do a hard reset to put the MicroCell back in default mode which will force it to go thru the Initial Activation process (see Tech Guide, link in my sig). Turn off the power to the MicroCell, get a paperclip and hold in the reset button on the back (little hole at the top), restore power and continue to hold the button in for about 30 seconds and then release. Let us know what happens.

a hard reset did the trick, the MicroCell seems to be back up and running.

thank you!
