Microcell and management Webpage issues
I got an text message from ATT signing "Error 102, The registered address does not match hte actual device location" and hte 5 bar Icon on my micro cell is red. I did a reset, unplug wait 30s and plug in and then it is fully functional again. Next day the same thing, text message from Att restee all good. I went to login into the Web managment page and I get a redirect loop and can never get to the managment page. Oh and the microcell hasn't moved in years so I don't understand why this is happening. Is the microcell web managment even functional anymore?

Are you using the mobile app because it hasn’t worked correctly for a long time.
Accessing your myAT&T MicroCell Settings page has been difficult. Lots of redirects. I have to go thru the main AT&T login website and painfully migrate to the MicreCell.
The red flashing 3G light indicates that your location has not been verified.
Which model of MicroCell do you have and have you checked the ac adapter with a voltmeter? It should read 16VDC +/- 0.5 with no load.
Do keep in mind that the MicroCell is no more. Service will last until AT&T shuts down their 3G network. WiFi-C is what we recommend now.

I used to manage my micro cell at https://www.att.com/att/microcell/
As others observed, after logon and several redirects one ends up with an error. Does anyone know of a working URL. I need to urgently connect a family in self-isolation.
Thank you, Jochen

I believe I had a hardware failure on my MicroCell and purchased another off eBay. I’m running into the same issues as you guys with the redirects and even when you CAN get to the page no information being saved. I’ve got great WiFi and it works well with my iPhone, but my problem is I have some other people in the household that DO NOT want iPhone type smart phones. 95% of what they do in their phone is just calling and they want a fairly cheap flip phone (a couple have been dropped and damaged or lost, etc so no $500+ phones...)
Are there any flip phones that will work with AT&T and their WiFi calling? If I can find one (that isn’t 3G and will be obsolete come next year) then I can kick the microcell too the curb... otherwise I appear to be really screwed...

@Andrewcarney I took my old DPH-154 out of its box about a month ago and set it up again because I was working on an issue for another poster (MicroCell not working and accessing the Settings page). I hadn't used mine for 3 years because we use WiFi-C exclusively. It took me a few tries due to the redirection issues but I was able to access my settings page, enter my new address (I had moved since the last time I used it), saved it and reactivated my MicroCell with the new address. The whole process from the box to the M-Cell alpha tag on my phone took about 30 minutes.
What was the hardware failure on your other MicroCell? Did you check the ac adapter with a voltmeter? Maybe you just needed to replace the adapter.
As far as the flip phones and WiFi-C you'd probably have to look around the AT&T site and see which phones that AT&T carries that aren't 3G, flip, and will work with WiFi-C. My guess is that there are none that meet those three requirements but hopefully another ACE can tell you for sure.

@OttoPylot you seem to Be the only one with any luck accessing and affecting change via the pages. I’m eventually able to get to the right page after retrying when the redirects fail, but any changes or activation, reactivation links fail.

@matinski There's nothing magical that I'm doing other than being persistent. I'll check in with the Admins tomorrow and see if there is any update on fixing the Settings page access. My fear is that they are placing it as a very low priority knowing that the service itself will be shutdown in a little over a year from now. If I hear anything I will certainly post it.

@OttoPylot On the older style white device, the second LED light (I believe that’s the one showing an Ethernet connection) doesn’t turn on or flash at all. Just in the middle of the night it turned off and the microcell stopped working. Multiple resents of the device, my internet, etc. that second LED light wouldn’t flash for even a second. I had the same issue with my original microcell (white style) last year and bought a replacement off eBay. As soon as I plugged the replacement in (using the same ac adapter) the second light flashes and then went solid. Exactly the same this time around, eBay unit with the same AC adapter has the second light on now but a flashing cellular light (obviously not activated).
I can fight my way into the configuration page. But no settings seem to apply. I can click swap device and occasionally it gets to the page where I put in the new serial code but it always then either takes me back to the page to select a phone number to link my new device with or back to the origin configuration screen where it shows my old device and gives me the options to disconnect it, add a new one, or swap device. Nothing is actually being saved or updated when I enter it. I tried with a Mac laptop, my iPhone with safari, Firefox, and chrome, and a windows laptop and nothing worked. I entered my serial number at least 15 times but always fell into the circle of what number to link it to, enter serial, what number to link it to, enter serial, etc. Spent a good two hours messing with it all while I was on chat waiting for a representative to become available (they were “unusually busy” as they put it) and finally gave up.
I ended up ordering an iPhone SE after getting in a fight with family members telling them they need to just get with the current times. They didn’t want the iPhone because even the smallest was too large to fit in a pocket during a walk or something, they didn’t like how heavy it was, they don’t want any of the features other than calling, and I didn’t want them to have it because I’ve replaced a couple phones from being lost or left outside in the sprinklers accidentally or dropped, etc.
It’s insane time me that a company wouldn’t come out and make a flip phone. I would think plenty of older folks, or people that wanted something small and sleek, or children would be using a much cheaper (sub $100) basic phone! I’ve seen a couple LTE compatible flip phones out there with WiFi, but not with WiFi calling, or I’m not sure it’ll work with att. The T-Mobile Go-Flip 3 is one with VoWIFI, but not sure if an unlocked one would have the WiFi calling work with att...

Well I managed to update my email on settings today after about 20mins. Normally I'm messing with this late at night PT.
I also made to the beginning the add a Device , but only as far as the terms and conditions. I presume that I can add a second unit correct?

You can add multiple MicroCell's to the same post paid account but they all need to be registered/activated initially from the same physical address. I had three at one time on my account because I was testing the three different models, one at a time. Keep in mind that if you have additional MicroCell's in the same location they must be at least 50' apart from each other and that you will have handing-off issues if multiple units are online, at the same location, at the same time. I wouldn't recommend it.

@Andrewcarney Did you ever check the ac adapter with a voltmeter to see if it reads 16VDC +/- 0.5 with no load? If you used the same adapter with two different MicroCells and resulted in the same problem, it could be a dying ac adapter. A very common issue with the MicroCells.
As far as the flip phones go, you'll need to check with AT&T and see if they offer flip phones with WiFi-C. My guess is that they don't. If that's important to you then you may have to consider switching carriers to one that does or at least offers a flip phone with basic functions.

I'm doing apart from being chronic. I'll test in with the Admins the next day and see if there may be any replace on fixing the Settings page get entry to. My fear is that they may be putting it as a very low priority understanding. If I listen some thing I will really put up it.

@janehost629 It's hard to understand your post but basically there has been no change on getting the MicroCell Settings page fixed. It's just not a high priority for AT&T and with the service being shut down no later than Feb. 2022 it's not likely that it will ever get fixed completely.
