Att microcell activation

We recently purchased a microcell from a guy who purchased it in a storage container sale. Tried to activate and message says it had never been deactivated. How do we go about doing this in order to get it working for us? No idea when it was last used or name of owner...

Unfortunately if it was never deactivated there’s no way to do it now. The microcell only has a short time left anyway. The recommended method of connecting is to use Wi-Fi calling.

@Cpartist - as @lizdance40 mentioned, only the original owner of the MicroCell whose account it is tied to can deactivate the MicroCell. AT&T did this for security reasons. What you have now is a nice piece of modern art. The MicroCell service will be deactivated once AT&T begins to transition away from their 3G network, sometime around Feb. 2020 or earlier. What AT&T and us recommend now is WiFi-C (WiFi Calling) if your phone is capable.
