@Goldminer51 - Do not use the mobile app for the MicroCell because it hasn't worked correctly for a very long time and the programmer has not, and will not update it. Use the website to configure the MicroCell.

To add a phone number to the Approved Users List, the phone number must be either a prepaid or postpaid AT&T Cellular account. Only the person (phone number) who originally registered and activated the MicroCell can do this by going to their myAT&T MicroCell Settings page to add numbers to the Approved Users List. That original owner needs to have a postpaid account. That being said, in most cases the phone being added needs to be within range of the MicroCell so the phone can register the MicroCell as being part of its cellular neighborhood. This is accomplished by turning off the phone, wait a minute or so, and then turning it back on. You only need to do this once.

Only AT&T phones can be added to the MicroCell. It is not designed to work with any other devices.

If you purchased a used MicroCell, and it wasn't deactivated by the original owner, then you won't be able to register/activate it because it is still tied to another account. This is covered in my Tech Guide (see link in my sig line). AT&T is very reluctant to deactivate a MicroCell for various reasons.

Keep in mind that sales of the MicroCell by AT&T were discontinued at the end of 2017 because the MicroCell has reached its EOL. AT&T will continue to support it, what ever that means, throughout the rest of the this year but after that, the service will probably be discontinued as well. When that will happen has not been posted yet.

What AT&T and us recommend now is to use WiFi-C (WiFi Calling) if your phone is capable of that. Otherwise your only other options are to purchase a cellular booster (see my Cellular Booster Guide, link is in my sig line), switch carriers, or possibly try Google Voice.

If the phone number is an AT&T cellular number just go to your myAT&T MicroCell account page and add the phone number to the Approved Users List and save. You may have to turn the phone off, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on when it is within range of the MicroCell so the phone can add the MicroCell to its cellular neighborhood.

What is the text code when I go on the internet theWrong billing number appears and it will not let me change it this number is an additional number but not the billing number therefore the system recognizes it as such  I.e. I incorrect and will not allow me to add a new user defining the problem as this cell tower s/n number is associated with a different telephone number !!!!! Ridiculously the system does not allow me to Change it !!! Beyond frustrating I just purchased a secondary 900 dollar device for

my employee and can not add it to my cell tower I am not a satisfied customer this is absurd I just might return all and go with Verizon

@DO983 The MicroCell Settings page has been broken for well over a year now. The service will be totally discontinued no later than Feb. 2022 because AT&T is shutting down their 3G network. Some service areas have already started to shut down. AT&T has moved most of the support engineers for the MicroCell on to other projects so what ever is broken will not get fixed.

Let's look into why you're unable to sign in to your Microcell account, @DO983!

Since February 10, 2021 AT&T has been notifying AT&T active Microcell customers that they may no longer need their Microcell due to network improvements and to enable Wi-Fi Calling on their smartphone.

Microcell which haven't been active in over 3 months were deactivated on May 18, 2021. There was no action on your part to take, but if you still need it, visit Reconnect your AT&T MicroCell.

As shared by @OttoPylot, the technology used by the MicroCell is an older 3G wireless technology. AT&T has been improving local networks with more advanced 4G/LTE.

Many of the mobile devices offered by AT&T since 2015 have Wi-Fi calling capability. Wi-Fi Calling is easy to set up and use. There is no additional equipment required as it is a function included on compatible Voice over LTE devices.

Wi-Fi Calling advantages are that it connects when wireless network coverage is weak or unavailable inside your home. What's more, it can also be used internationally too.

Give this a try and let us know how it works. We hope this info helps!
