Talk about bad customer service. Here's my story from this and last week:

 

AT&T has scammed me by inducing me to sign up for Telephone land-line, and ensured that the promotion I currently have on U-Verse TV will be renewed for the next 12 months when it expires in 7 days. I have to sign up for the 12 month tel service now, but I had to wait to renew the TV service until current promotionst expires in 7 days. So I sign up, and call back in 7 days to renew TV service promotion, and they tell me no more promotions and the bill will go up $50 starting the new billing period. After I found out, I called to cancel and I spoke with someone who said they reviewed the call log and indeed I should get the same rate, but the supervisor will call back and straighten out everything. I never got the call, and I call back and get someone else, and told them the story. They said that can't honor what the other sales rep said and that the computers will backup any thing that is promised but not true. . I've been with AT&T (including wireless) for over 15 years. I even have in the call log (according to them) and a transcript (in my email) of a seperate chat that "not to worry", they will honor the promise. They are stepping over the line, and I plan to report to FCC and Attorney General for reprehensible business practices and total mis-representation of the offer.
