@DIRECTVNOWCare - RFC Standard E-mail Addresses with Plus Sign

When I (and many others) signed up for the DIRECTV NOW service, e-mail addresses including a plus sign were allowed.  By Dec 4, these e-mail addresses were no longer allowed, and the following message is displayed when attempting to log in:

40403 : Are you sure you entered the correct email? Please try again.

I was able to connect to chat on Sunday (as if I were opening a new account, since the support side would immediately claim that all CSRs were unavailable), and I was informed that a request was placed to fix my account and that I would receive an e-mail when it was fixed.  It has now been 2 days since then.  I have not received any communication, and my account still shows the same message as above.  The chat link no longer appears on the page.

When will the service accept e-mail addresses with plus signs again so that we can log into the service that we have already prepaid for?
