AT&T VOIP phone won't forward calls anymore, says call cannot be completed as dialed

I have an AT&T voip phone in my office. In the evenings we forward calls to answering service.  All the sudden when trying to forward calls it says "call cannot be completed as dialed."  Tried to call AT&T no luck.
