Gladissmith - One of the many features available on the new phone lines is the ability to forward calls. I do it sometimes to my cell phone.

Someone must have forwarded to your phone purposely or in error.

I wondered if the caller ID would be the original number or the forwarding number. Apparently, it can be identified as a forwarded call. Maybe you can ask if it was the originator or the forwarder number.
