I'm sorry I'm not going to be able to be of much help - I don't use OLAM for my at&t landline service.
Maybe someone else out here does and can recommend something else - but the only things I know to do is try another go around with AT&T's customer service department and/or maybe check out the U-Verse forums, since part of U-Verse is landline service. These forums are strictly for at&t's wireless service. If you have the time on your hands, you could try in the tech support chat board out here and see if they can either help or can direct you to who can help at AT&T.
There must be a happy medium somewhere between being totally informed and blissfully unaware.
