uverse online: "Requested video cannot be displayed in your region"

I received an ATT Uverse postcard telling me that ATT is playing hardball with the Hallmark Channel, and how I will have multiview soon and a paragraph that if I went to att.net/uverseonline I can "watch TV shows and movies with over 100,000 titles to choose from, at no charge."
So I went ot att.net/uverseonline and logged in with my att.net login. Every attempt to view ANYTHING got a message that read "Requested video cannot be displayed in your region".
hmmmm. any thoughts? PS. I live in the Los Angeles area

Also might be interesting to see what wouldn't play for you guys, for me the ads can't play (and they're are asking me to help diagnose the problem
), but the program comes on.

Your Results May Vary, In My Humble Opinion
I Call It Like I See It, Simply a U-verse user, nothing more

I was able to watch videos here in Detroit at the att site.

I am a relatively new U-verse user in NC and have had the "requested video cannot be displayed in your region" error for just about all U-verse Online content since I started the service...until tonight. I spent over an hour with CS trying all sorts of things to get, for example, the season finale of "The Gates" to play (since that is being promoted on the U-verse Online website). Always got the "requested video cannot be displayed in your region" error. When I went over to Hulu - the episode played fine. What I never did, until tonight, is go back to the U-verse Online website and try the same video again. Sure enough, just like a previous person said in this thread, I clicked the same video on the U-verse Online website - it worked. In fact, ALL videos that have NEVER played began playing (from 4 months ago). In fact, when I tried to recreate the problem, I can't get a video NOT to play now.
So, all I did was:
- Go to HULU first and play any video - any one at all
- Go back to the U-Verse Online website and watch the video you'd like
To the programmers listening - doesn't that sound like the U-verse Online website is not saving the correct cookie information to the browser that the Hulu website needs? (I used to do some programming a long time ago).
Check this out if you are having this problem and see what happens.

You might want to take a look at this thread.
Same deal as you.
I suggest you contact David here, and give him all the info he is requesting. He is legitimate AT&T, assigned to escalate special cases for resolution.
As far as I know, the OP in the referenced link is still waiting to hear from David's team.
Good luck.
edit--just came across another post, same issue
Anyone still having this problem, please click the link in this post for David and let him know. Obviously this is something that requires further attention.
