NHL games on regional networks blackout like MLB?

I'm a new UVerse customer and am loving the service.
I'm concerned that, while living in CT, that I will not be able to see Pittsburgh Penguins games on Fox Sports Pittsburgh, due to blackout like UVerse blocks every MLB game on regional networks in the sports tier. Does anyone know if the NHL has the same restrictive rules like MLB has applied to UVerse?
If yes to blackout, Will UVerse offer NHL Center Ice package so we don't miss our team's games?

The NHL and MLB have nearly identical rules when it comes to blackout restrictions.
If you are not in the Penguins home market (and you are not, I did some googling) then you will be unable to view a game that would be shown on a local feed. For example, if the Penguins game is on a sports channel that isn't "naturally" in your viewing area on Uverse, then it will be blacked out to you.
Uverse does not have Center Ice.

Then the clock is ticking ... either they get NHL Center Ice in 30 days (before NHL preseason begins) or I call to uninstall.
I was completely mislead by their salesperson's pitch, who bragged about me being able to watch the Pittsburgh Pirates and Penguins games on FSN Pittsburgh.

Most salespeople are the worst source for accurate information about a product or service. The best source is generally current customers. I hope U-verse does add NHL Center Age. It might just appear as an offering on one the U-verse channels prior to AT&T making an official announcement.

My thinking is that NHL Center Ice would be made available as part of the agreement to carry NHL Network. I know they did not offer it last season, but since they did not add NHL Network until January (maybe February I don't quite recall) they may not have had everything in place to offer Center Ice. just my two cents.
That's what I was thinking too. Fios added both at the same time just before the season started last year. And I would have to believe that the negotiations for the 2 are tied together, or related.

I am ready to switch back to TW if Center Ice is not offered this year. I want to switch back around the start of the season to take advantage of the special pricing. The clock is ticking for U-verse.
Last year, when Fios added Center Ice, they didn't do it until the end of October, so...

Really? Welcome to the club. I think many who are reading this thread in regards to NHL Center Ice have been misled by the original sales person who signed them up for AT&T U-Verse.
Unfortunately you may be out of luck. I've been calling AT&T and writing it in their surveys that I don't understand why all the other providers offer NHL Center Ice but AT&T does not. We get the Mickey Mouse sports packages instead of the packages one really desires.
You have about a month to make the switch - I don't see it coming any time soon from what I've gathered from talking to reps for AT&T U-Verse.
Verizon FIOS is now in my neighborhood - I'm leaning towards the switch. Only thing that's kept me from doing it thus far is that my team (Toronto Maple Leafs) are playing crappy so it's not like I'm missing a lot at the moment. Still I'm a hockey fan in general...love to watch the games.
GO LEAFS GO.

They're SALESpeople for a reason. If they make the SALE, then they've won.
It's up to the potential customer to do the homework. Any SALESperson will not say "We don't have this at this time." They'll say something like "We hope to add it in the near future."

What area of the country do you live in that has FIOS and Uverse in competition for subscribers?
I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. True, many areas they do not criss-cross into each other's territory but in my neighborhood they do. Infact, we have Charter Cable which was the only choice for a while, then AT&T U-Verse came along and now Verizon's FIOS.
