SykoSkotty - Admittedly, the possibility of the HDMI splitter fixing it is very iffy. You are not using it as a splitter - only an isolator.

You do not say specifically if the disconnecting of the HDMI cable before turning off the STB/TV worked. I was thinking if it did work (& it really should) - you could get an HDMI switch with IR control & make it part of the power on/ff sequence.

 

Another thought on the HDMI connection - what if you change the input on the TV? Does it immediately cause the STB bkue light to blink? If not, then turn off the TV without the HDMI input active.


The realtime was for internet speed vs HD streams - You need to post the results here to have some users comment on what it says. I too am not able to interpret it. Use the reply button & the header on the entry box has a treelike icon for posting the screen shots.
