The installer told him that the HD signal would come over the Coax with no HD cabling needed. I told him to get an HDMI or an HDRCA. Got a text from him today saying he tried the RCA and it took care of all the issues.
Does anyone know why the installer would make that claim?
Who knows (he definately did not know what he was talking about), a coax RF connection is the lowest form of analog input to a TV. I'm assuming the HDRCA you're refering to is component w/ 3 video and 2 audio cables. If he just used 3 RCA cables for video and audio, he has composite connections which are not HD. ![]()
