I just can't believe how small and powerful computers have become, except for the govt., I hear they still use tape drives, LOL!

A lot of data center's still use tape drives for backing up. Good secure way. The ATL's that store the tapes and auto move them for backup are a lot smaller now though! Size of a server rack.

That's where they coined the phrase "computer bug" from actual insects getting in there and shorting stuff out.

I'm pretty sure ENIAC was before UNIVAC. Didn't they use ENIAC to compute artillery tragectories during WWII?

I don't disagree that that happened; just pointing out that the term was in use long before that.  (The above is also usually -- and erroneously -- attributed to Grace Murray Hopper.  See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_bug#Etymology.)

 I have no idea if that's really inside an RT hut. :smileysad:  Never been inside one, but looks the right size.
 Good thing the first computers weren't in Houston, or the flying cockaroaches would have killed it!
