The information from SomeJoe7777 is incorrect.  I had Wake on Lan over internet setup with Comcast and a Linksys router.  It worked perfectly.  I could leave it for a month and it would wake immediately from anywhere including my iphone.  However, I cannot figure out how to set it up with U-verse.  I tried using my Linksys router setup the way it was with Comcast, behind the 2wire 3800 with DMZplus enabled with no success.  I know that network addressing and subnetting has to be set correctly for it to work.  Does anyone have Wake on Lan over internet working with U-Verse?

 

Linksys Settings Were:

Setup/Basic Setup:

Local IP Address:  192.168.1.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.128
Starting IP: 192.168.1.100
Max DHCP Users: 27


Applications & Gaming/Port Range Forward (Firewall):

WOL / 5850 to 5850 / UDP / 192.168.1.127

(Some firmware version will not allow this change, used firefox with tamper data to manually input in the firefox address field, easy to locate when you set it to 192.168.1.126 first, then just change to .127, hit enter, should save the settings)

Subnet: 255.255.255.255

Port: 5850
