You said this was horrible customer service; However, you are not the only one without cellphone service. I understand its frustrating, but I am sure that the other millions without service are probably just as frustrated and are trying to call in and find out when it will be back on. The technicians are working as quickly as possible and when you give another employee rudeness and hateful comments becuase you are inconvienced it does nothing except put more hate into the world. Did you accomplish anything by talking to that person in such a manner?? Did you feel better about yourself or the situation? Did your service get restored? I am just guessing, but probably none of these things happened. I dont know what your line of work entails, but if you had someone come up and begin being hateful to you for something you had no control of, would you not get upset? Probably wouldnt make you want to go above and beyond for that person huh?? just food for thought for the next time you call a customer service person. They are just doing there job just like you would do yours. They told you they were trying to recover your service and they did not have a time frame because it could take more or less time depending on the complexity of the problem.
